Every circuit is broken down into four unique sectors that we, Grand Prix Scout, classify based on technical difficulty. Now a lot of work goes into classifying each sector, but we will revisit that topic in another post. After classifying each sector, we study historical rider data to predict areas of strengths, weaknesses and overall performance on any given circuit.
Since Chang International Circuit is a new addition, we had to get creative when analyzing the circuit and compiling our MVP rider list. As you may have seen on our Instagram page (@GrandPrix Scout), we took each sector and matched it a sector belonging to a circuit that all rider’s had previously raced on. Each sector was matched based on similarities in configurations, allowing us to piece together the Chang Int. Circuit. From here we studied rider and bike performance in order to determine which riders would fill our MVP positions.
