Chapter 11 of the 2019 season is just around the corner and teams are prepping for the Austrian GP at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg! The 2.7 mile long circuit encompasses a diverse set of configuration characteristics and has a sector technicality range of 1.6 – 3.4.
The Red Bull Ring has historically been dominated by Ducati and Honda factory riders with Yamaha not far behind. Last year we saw Lorenzo, Marquez and Dovizioso land on the podium with Crutchlow (Honda) and Petrucci (Ducati) rounding out the top 5.
A majority of the sectors closely resemble those who have historically been Lorenzo and Rossi territory. Could this weekend’s race be the stepping the stone that these two riders need to once again lead the pack across the finish line?
