Before each race, our team analyzes the MotoGP riders along with various factors that impact race day. After studying historical data, bike set up, circuit configuration and climate profiles, a “Rider Watch List” is compiled. This week we’re going full Italian! That’s right, this week’s rider watch list consists of the six Italian riders currently racing in the MotoGP series. Why should you be excited? Partially because this includes three different manufacturers (Aprilia, Ducati and Yamaha). Moreso, because this includes one of the arguably most diverse range of guys. We’re talking MotoGP heros like Valentino Rossi and Andrea Dovizioso to second year all-stars like Morbidelli, all the way down to the current second highest ranked rookie, Francesco Bagnaia. We can’t forget Iannone who ditched the French GP early to preserve himself for Mugello. Oh, and of course, Danilo Petrucci who is reminding Ducati why they brought him onto the factory team.
